If I could give this 0 stars I would. I thought I was purchasing a grayscale coloring book that had 5 different shades of gray on the coloring pages so you knew how dark to shade. When I got my package I skipped right to this book (I bought other coloring books) and flipped through it just to find out it was 50 pages of gray dots. Ok so maybe I can still get some use out of it so I search the whole book just to find out there is no instructions either. Good thing Amazon has a great return policy!

Very Frustrating.2 pages with butterfly drawings and 22 pages of gray dots. No instructions.

Love this book. Have the butterfly version, will buy the fantasy soon! I've noticed that some are confused about this book. When you color grayscale, your colors can change or sometimes look different on top of the gray images. This is a color swatch book, but you are putting your swatches on top of grayscale so that you have a truer idea of what they will look like on your picture. Great idea!

Has great quick keto recipes.... but...being a basic/beginner cook I found some of these directions hard to follow. I hoped it was slightly more detailed i.e. when to stop searing meat or perhaps what measurement is glass? (I’m assuming glass = a cup)The book may have been better revised i.e. in one recipe it calls for cream cheese while the directions says nothing about cream cheese but instead calls for creamy mozzarella cheese when it was not listed?When I use this book I will have to slightly figure my way throughout cooking the recipes.

I love this book, I use it all the time. The recipes are relatively easy, usually taste really good and I'm able to make a variety different meals just by adding in a few things occasionally to my grocery shopping.

Very impressed with book. Just started on my Keto Life change and this book helped me so much. It gave me the tools I needed to start Keto and explained the standard diet. The book is 75% recipes and 25% info and instruction. I’ve tried a few of the recipes already and they were easy to follow and tasted very good. Great book! Nice. Great book is here!

A couple of good suggestions. Very brief. Not impressive.

I'm impressed with the way the travel guide is presented. It just talks about different places worth checking out leaving me to decide how I want to go about my trip. It might not be best for people who are visiting for just a couple of days and want a full blown travel plan but I can see the benefit of having this as an extra guide. Like maybe I'll get bored after my tour and then that's it. I compared this with a few travel pamphlets and noticed plenty of new things in this guide. Really glad to own it!

David Austin lives and hybridizes his own roses in England. He has written several books and I recommend them all. But this book is full of pictures and information about his roses. The reason he calls his roses, English Roses, is because they often have the form of the antique roses, with strong resistance to diseases, repeat bloomers, and best of all with lovely fragrance. He has several test gardens throughout the U.S. so you can be sure that the information in this book will apply to these roses in the U.S. As you read the book you will have all the information you need to have one or many English roses. You could be the envy of all you friends. Also a perfect gift to give a rosarian (a rose lover).

Similar to another reviewer, this book started my passion for gardening. I never cared to spend much time outdoors but this book got me into my garden and to experience the wealth that gardening has to offer. Thank you, David Austin for the English Roses that you've developed!!! Prior to reading this book and planting English Roses, the only outdoor plant I ever took care of myself was back in college. After purchasing this book about 6 years ago I planted 13 varieties of David Austin's roses and eventually planted over 20 varieties.This book was the first book I ever read on roses, or anything related to gardening for that matter, and the beginning of a collection of rose books and other gardening books. I still don't have any other books about roses that I would consider to rival this one when it comes to the beauty portrayed on the pages of the book, the quality of the photographs and the fact that it's hardback. Maybe some of his more recent books would be as good as this one but I haven't purchased them yet. The text in this book is helpful for a beginner but I found other books on roses to be more helpful. This book is a bit more general and isn't intended to be a `how to' guide. I believe that the main purpose of the publication is to advertise some of the most beautiful roses in the world that David Austin has created. Even if you don't plant any of his roses, it would simply be a beautiful coffee table book. David Austin offers many more roses than are shown in this book and by going to his website you can see the vast array of roses that he offers. I've purchased my David Austin roses by telephone through a seller in Tyler, Texas who publishes a mail order catalog showing beautiful pictures next to the list of roses that they offer.I'm extremely late in reviewing this book but due to my love of this book and these intoxicating beauties I need to share my discovery of the way to conquer nasty Japanese Beetles! I should preface this by stating that I have no connection to the company of Bayer and no reason to promote it other than to help other gardeners. The horrendously little devilish Japanese beetles set me back a couple of years with my rose bushes. I almost gave up on my roses due to the devastating effects that beetles caused to my rose bushes but recently I was told by a landscape architect that everyone she knows is having success with the Bayer Advanced Rose systemic granule product that can actually take care of the problem. She said that you must start using it about 3 months prior to the arrival of the Japanese beetles which is much earlier than I anticipated. I wasn't getting it into the plant soon enough to protect it. I look forward to letting my passion run wild again with these intoxicating beauties next year!

WOW!!! The pictures of the roses in this book are unmatched by any other publication. I have for many years been a Hybrid Tea Rose fan, but after reading this book and after visiting several gardens with Austin's roses in them, I have been converted. I just ordered over 20 bushes and I cannot wait for their arrival next spring. I agree with a previous reviewer who commented that the writing is self serving at times, but Austin's passion for his plants can be understood. Austin's comments about group plantings and his recommendations concerning minimiums for plantings of each species, I found invaluable. I believe this book is well worth the price and will win you over to a relatively new breed of rose.

Taylor acknowledges that the popular notion of sin needs to be jettisoned -- it is itself sinful, you might say -- but not the fundamental concept of something being seriously wrong that needs to be righted and that the righting of it involves not just gradual improvement but a transformation of the human spirit that happens when we are in touch with the transcendent in a way that enables us to acknowledge that we've been out of touch with reality in a serious way. As long as we deny that there's anything wrong (recall John Cleese's "It's only a flesh wound"), then we will never seek or be open to a transformation of our fundamental life orientation (hence "Sin is our only hope"). When "sin" disappears from our vocabulary, then what is wrong gets explained in medical therapeutic terms (a "no fault" approach in which we are victims of external forces) or legal terms (an "all fault" approach in which we freely choose to make harmful decisions). Taylor argues that only a depth understanding of "sin" allows for the paradoxical nature of what we're talking about, for the complicity of ego and will in our refusal to acknowledge that anything is wrong, and for the hope of transformation -- not in any neat and simple sense, but in a deep and real sense nonetheless. If there's nothing wrong with you or your life or people who think like you do -- if it's everyone else in the world who's wrong -- then you can skip this book. But if you are among those who are not satisfied with overly simple medical and/or legal explanations of bad acting in our disjointed world and are willing to entertain the notion that in totally rejecting "the language of sin and salvation", we threw the baby out with the bathwater, you might find this a stimulating read.

Barbara Brown Taylor has never failed to give me new insights on an old subject. She does it again in Speaking of Sin. Very enjoyable reading, challenging questions, and down to earth wisdom inform, enlighten, and encourage readers to evaluate and reconsider ancient, traditional, and current understandings/misunderstandings of sin. History and traditions inform the present, which is informing the future now. As the author points out, many of us have avoided speaking of sin, and she offers a treasury of help in confronting the subject, and ourselves.

I am a big fan of authors who have the ability to express great ideas succinctly, and BBT once again proves herself to be masterful in this regard. This short read gets to the heart of one of the greatest problems with the church today, and I am going to be reccomending it to friends of all faith traditions.It only took a few hours to read, but I predict that I will be wrestling with the contents for the next few years, if not the rest of my life. Do yourself a favor and read it!

This book talks about the elimination of the word "sin" in our comtemporary language. She addresses what effect this has had on individuals and society. She has a powerful story to tell! I belong to a Unitarian Universalist Church and we practice a modern form of religion. We use wisdom of the past, science, sociology, current events, and our own personal experience to inform us. Due to our modern practice of religion, we have dropped religious language. I do believe in my faith's views and practices, but I think Barbara Taylor is on to something.

As always, so good. If you're uninitiated to BBTaylor, check out her sermons on YouTube. You'll know immediately that she has a way with words…..and ideas…..and important truths…… A rather short book -- loaded with content (as always) and a powerful, meaningful slant on sin. Without leaving you full of guilt -- just a burning desire to absorb the full implications of sin, confession, penance, and salvation.

To my mind and heart, Barbara brown Taylor is unsurpassed in exploring and elucidating the centralities of Christian faith. Without flourish, she cuts to the center of belief and the essentials of what it means to be a human being in search of truth. The only writer who comes to mind for me as a companion to Brown Taylor is Frederick Buechner. It was a blessed day for me when an acquaintance first mentioned her writings.

As I have come to expect from Brown Taylor, this slim little book is packed full of concepts that require me to slow down and think about what she is saying. I really enjoy the way she approaches a thought from several different angles."People hear the guilt coming and they leave the room. They are tired of being judged and threatened by Christians who say"love" and do fear."Also, after years of liberal-arts education, she gave me the most useful definition of "post-modern" I've ever seen:"My own working definition of it is that the modern age is over-the age in which we believed in the power of the state, or the academy, or the church to bring out the best in us. In the age just past, nationalism has brought us Hitler, science has brought us the atom bomb, and religion has brought us some really awful television programming, not to mention apartheid or the civil war in Northern Ireland. Humanity has turned out to he hard to perfect, and the old structures we relied on to do so have let us down.""The threat of sin and the promise of salvation sound too much like part of the old control mechanism for keeping people in line, which has failed even at the highest echelons of church leadership."Read if: You are interested in chewy and humane theological writing. I'd never been to the Keys and we used this as our travel guide in addition to Yelp reviews. My primary complaint about the Keys is that what they call "beaches" may be rocky, hard, and full of underwater growth. We visited a number of Key "beaches" and never found one anywhere near as good as those in Southern California. However, the ocean water in Florida is much warmer, which is nice.

Fodor's guides are very reliable for the causal tourist who isn't too adventurous, but still offers valuable information on a very easy to use format. Recommended!

Just went to Keys for a week, this guide helped a lot. contains much info without having to look stuff up online all the time

Very good information in this book. I would definately recommend anyone planning on visiting Key West to read this book.

Good price in this quality guide to the Florida Keys. Includes all keys in trustworthy and helpful Fodor’s fashion. Very helpful for our recent week in Key West and visits to other Keys.

I would have liked a better info. This tended to provide lots of sites but little info.
